Who are the 15 (so far) dreamers who voted for “Through training, professional development, coaching, and working through case studies together.”? I would happily carpool to Coachella with these folks, but firms should do whatever they can to keep these people out of management.
So do I take this to mean you’re skeptical of firms’ proclaiming that their “culture” is what makes them distinctive?

I’m one of the (now 24) dreamers who voted for “Through training, professional development, coaching, and working through case studies together.” The unwritten continuation of my choice is that lawyers who, despite receiving training, professional development, and coaching, refuse to collaborate for the benefit of the firm eventually receive a further partner benefit: outplacement counseling. What makes some coaching fall on deaf ears is that the head between the ears doesn’t perceive teamwork as an essential value of the firm’s culture, and if the head doesn’t want to be part of the team culture, the tail that it’s attached to should be kicked out of the firm.
