Will you be in Dallas Wednesday, December 3 at 6:00 pm?

If so, join me for discussion and cocktails around the emerging state of the law firm market.

It will be at the historic Belo Mansion in the heart of downtown Dallas.

From the description of the event:

The “New Normal” is no longer new. On Wednesday, December 3, from 6 to 9 p.m., join preeminent law firm management consultant Bruce MacEwen, global director at Pangea3 Ed Sohn, K&L Gates Dallas administrative partner Craig Budner, and Novation SVP and general counsel Jill Witter as they discuss their perspectives on Biglaw firms, corporations, and managed service providers with a focus on law firm business models in the Texas economy. This panel will be moderated by Above the Law’s founder and managing editor, David Lat.

The springboard for the evening’s discussion will be Bruce’s latest book, “A New Taxonomy: The seven law firm business models.”  In his foreword to the book, Allen & Overy managing partner David Morley observes, “BigLaw is changing at a rate never seen in our lifetimes. Never has the future seemed ‘as shrouded in fog and noise.’ This book will help the fog to clear a little. Enough to see where you are. Enough to see more clearly where you might go.”

Register right here, right now.

I would love to see you there; if you’re in town and available, only the most bullet-proof excuses will be accepted.
