ABOUT OUR EXPERTS |

Dan Cooperman is Lecturer in Law at Stanford Law School,
where he teaches a new course entitled, “The Role of the Modern General
Counsel”. He is Of Counsel at Bingham McCutchen’s Silicon Valley Office,
a strategic advisor to Institutional Venture Partners, a member of the Advisory
Board of Best Lawyers and the editorial advisory board of California Lawyer
magazine, and serves on the Advisory Council for the Law, Science and
Technology Program at Stanford Law School. He is the immediate past president
of the Association of General Counsel and has served on the board of several
trade associations in the software industry. Mr. Cooperman stepped down as
Apple’s General Counsel in November 2009, reporting to Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs,
he was responsible for all aspects of Apple’s legal department. Prior to Apple,
Mr. Cooperman was Oracle’s General Counsel for nearly 11 years. |

Bruce MacEwen is a lawyer and
consultant to law firms on strategic and economic issues. He
founded and is Editor-in-Chief of Adam Smith, Esq., which
generates on average over 350,000 page views per month,
providing insights on the business of large, sophisticated law
firms. Since the site’s launch in late 2003, over 1,000 articles
have appeared on Adam Smith, Esq. covering such topics as
strategy, leadership, globalization, M&A, finance, compensation,

Mr. MacEwen practiced securities law in-house for nearly 10
