Some of you may have perceived a drop-off in the frequency with which I publish columns late this spring and early summer; your intuition would be correct.
Don’t worry!
I have not gone to the Hamptons (I’m not a Hamptons kind of guy) or anywhere else, for that matter; the idea of a solid old-fashioned off-the-grid vacation gives me hives.
The explanation is perfectly simple: I’m deep into composing the manuscript of my Book #3. You are all insiders now: The official working title of this volume around the Adam Smith, Esq. office is indeed “Book #3.” And there are only so many hours in the day one can devote to writing.
So Occam’s Razor strikes again: The hypothesis/explanation requiring the fewest assumptions is probably correct. I’m writing fewer columns because I’m writing “Book #3.”
