Herewith a seasonal column (we employ editorial license in so describing it) from Janet Stanton.

I know this “tis the season to be jolly,” but I suspect more than a few of you feel more like the Grinch than Frosty the Snowman.  All the fa-la-la-la-la-ing making you grumpy?  Are you so over ugly Christmas sweaters, treacly Christmas pageants, relentless exhortations of good cheer and all those ads where the cars have big red bows on their roofs?  Will January 2 never come?

Well, here’s your chance to channel your inner (or outer) curmudgeon.  Let us know what really annoys you, pisses you off – or is just plain stupid.  And, no need to limit yourself to this season of promiscuous merriment.  Be as churlish as you like about whatever you choose.

As our long-time readers know, we generally offer an incentive to complete our surveys.  Not this time.  In the spirit of Scrooge, you’ll get the satisfaction of ranting for exactly nothing.  Think of this as some kind of perverse therapy.

We’ll report on the most novel, caustic responses when we god-damn feel like it.

And, away you go!
